Panama Sportfishing Is A Great Getaway

By Lois Gordon

If you love to fish and are also looking for a place to get away from it all, why not consider reserving a Panama sportfishing trip for yourself? Not only will you be treated to some of the best sportfishing in the world but you will be treated to a wonderful tropical environment unlike a lot of other places you may have been before.

You can set up a trip where you will experience world class offshore fishing and you will be treated to visiting such legendary places like Hannibal Bank as well as Montuosa Island. You will be able to do some Marlin fishing, you'll find both the Blue and Black species in these waters and you will find lots of Wahoo and Yellow Fin Tuna. You can also fish for Pacific Sailfish and Durado. All of these can be found in abundance in this area.

While on your Panama sportfishing trip out on the ocean, you'll be guaranteed to fight some of the biggest fish out there. Often the average will weigh between 300 to 500 pounds but there are times you will run into those that weigh over a 1,000 pounds. If the Durado is your favorite, the best time to fish for them is during the month of December.

If you would rather do some inshore fishing, you will have plenty of chances to do that as well. You can go to their National Marine Park found on Coiba Island, known to be home to some the best inshore fishing. You'll be able to wrangle with some very aggressive species like the Cubera Snapper and the Rooster fish.

If you also like to do some bottom fishing that can be booked as well. You will be put in the capable hands of a local captain who will take you with his up to date GPS system to the different reefs and rocky ares in order to find you some of the best bottom fishing in the area. Here you'll be able to fish for Groupers, Amber Jacks and Snappers.

And if you are looking for something little bit more relaxing then you can also book some fly fishing while you are on your Panama sportfishing trip. You can do fly casting on the calm waters of the Cobia Island where you can get some Snook and Jacks as your fishing reward. panama sportfishing
