Fantastic Fishing Bait Products on the Market

By Mark McKenna

When Mark McKenna asked if I would come over to Baitcraft a fortnight ago I was more than a little excited. The amazing T1 boilie is now in its 6th year of doing some heavy damage on a whole host of venues both home and abroad and I believe it is reasonable to say has definately achieved near legendary status in the world of Carp fishing bait.

With my 1st meeting with Mark he seriously recommend that I try the Halo, the most recent and best addition to the Baitcraft range and something he has put a massive amount of time, research and testing in to in recent months. If I am honest to begin with I was a little weary as I had already made my mind up that I might be using the well known T1 on my new water but when an individual with the experience and knowledge that Mark has insists that the Halo is the greatest bait he has released to date I thought it best to sit up and pay attention, and I'm so satisfied I did.

The Halo is based around the same HNV sea protein base mix that is in all of Baitcrafts overwhelming range. As with all great bait experts Mark was pretty secretive about the rest of the ingredients, but who can blame him? He did however assure me that it was the one to be on and one of the most instant baits would ever use.

Putting these outrageous claims to the test I used the Halo on a day session two days later and instant turned out to be an understatement! I managed eight fish up to 28lb 12oz all before dark and I literally couldn't put enough in, the carp were on it all day long. My next visit was a short evening session and produced four fish up to 25lb 6oz and the 3rd which was only a four hour session also produced 4 carp up to 28lb 15oz!

Even at this initial stage it is clear to me that the Halo is a particularly special product indeed and is right up there with the legendary T1 boilies. As with all the other baits in the range the UK Tactical matching hook bait range is unmatched providing toughened hook baits, wafters and ultra buoyant pop ups all in either 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 18mm or 'bones ' which are a unique dumbbell type hook bait, while a matching hook bait dip and pellets complete the range perfectly.

The Halo smells wonderful, unlike any other carp bait I've ever used. It's instant to say the least and if these early results are anything to go by its set to become another Baitcraft all time classic.
