A Review of the Akios S-Line 757CTM Reel Sea Fishing Tackle

By Jeff Alta

There's nothing I love more than the prospect of packing up my sea fishing tackle and trotting towards my favorite wind-swept beach. It is inspiring to know that you will be able to stand in the same place other anglers have stood before you, casting their lures and baits into the crashing turf. Sorry for sounding excruciatingly poetic but fishing is something that I really love doing with passion. Why exactly? The primary reason is because I like the challenge that it provides me. Personally, I believe that hauling a fish out of the breakers is much more complicated than flipping a fly into the surface of the unsettled waters of a little stream! Since I don't have any idea about when the fish will strike my line, I also have to be well prepared most of the time. I have to be ready to tackle a wide range of species whether it is large or small. The S-Line 757CTM reel from Akios is a versatile fishing reel that has recenlty caught my attention. A brief review of this is provided below.

Key Features of the Akios S-Line 757CTM Reel Model of Sea Fishing Tackle

With a powerful retrieve and large capacity, the S-Line 757 is one very popular reel. Because of its capability to be used on different types of sea fishing like shore fishing, boat or uptide fishing, and rough ground, this quickly became a favorite sea fishing tackle. The positive centrifugal breaking along with its magnetic braking system which can be adjusted via a chrome knob located on the left side plate are just some of many examples of its specialized features. Because of this reel's open design, it gives me a chance to have a strong grip of the spool. The spool capacity of this model is a very generous one since it can hold a 320 or 290yd of 20 or 30lb mono line.

More About the Akios S-Line 757CTM Model of Sea Fishing Tackle

I've found this reel to be a very robust piece of fishing tackle. It features machined brass gears and a stainless steel power handle. It's good-looking as well, with its chrome-plated brass side plates. The gear ratio is 4.3:1, and the carbon drag system offers a maximum of 20lb, making it more than equal to fast-running fish. Another feature I like is the larger spindle handle, because it prevents flexing when I'm casting. The 757CTM also is ideal for landing hard-fighting, large fish. The impressive list of features continues with dual anti-reverse, stainless steel bearings, a line-out alarm, and a corrosion-resistant instant anti-reverse bearing. Who could ask for more?

My Final Opinions About the Akios S-Line 757CTM Reel Model of Sea Fishing Tackle

I did my research and found out that this model can be bought on the Internet for only 104.99 British Pounds, turning this piece sea fishing tackle very easy on the wallet, a fact which I really appreciate. I paired this reel with one of my favorite uptide rods during one of my latest boat fishing excursion to do different casting baits away from the boat. The pairing was very successful and I went home having a few large cod. To summarize, this reel provides exceptionally smooth operation while still being sturdy. It is very easy to clean so it will keep its good appearance even after long years. This rod is highly recommended!
