Fishing Sydneys Waterways Road Trip

The fishing within Sydneys gigantic waterways would have to be some of the best fishing you could do any where in the world. If your vacation is a campervan hire sydney trip your going to be able to explore the bays, estuaries, brooks and creeks that adorne our wonderful waterways here in Sydney.

The Waterways here in Sydney hold yellowfin, black bream, whiting, leatherjackets, John Dory, snapper, dusky flathead, flounder, luderick, mulloway, kingfish, bonito, tailor, Australian salmon, frigate mackerel, mullet, silver trevally, squid, yellowtail and slimy mackerel. While those who prefer to fish offshore can come across tuna, marlin, snapper, sand and tiger flathead, sweep reef and chinaman leatherjackets, a spread of marwong, samson fish, dolphin fish, spotted mackerel, gemfish, blue eyed trevalla and sharks, while fishing off one of the many tops, reef, gravel and sand patches that are found off the coast of Sydney.

If you do not like the bustle of the off shore scene, bays, estuaries and rivers you may like to have an early or late fish for any one of the different types of fish species that can be found and caught off the kilometres of beaches and rocks off Sydney.

If you like the boat fishing aspect then the following sailing info will be handy to you when fishing the sydney waterways. The following vessels when employed in NSW, are required to be registered with the Maritime Services board of NSW.

Any mechanically launched or sailing vessel of 9 metres or longer. Any mechanically launched vessel which is literally capable of 10 knots or more. Any vessel which is object of an occupation license i.e a mooring or wet jetty berth. A license is necessary for any individual who drives a mechanically propelled vessel at 10 knots or more. There are types of licenses that you can get.
