Trout Fishing Techniques

By Sharonda Allmon

1. Whether how big or how small - In trout fishing, you need to determine the size of your lure and your fishing rod. In trout fishing, it is suggested that you should use a lure and a fishing rod that is not too heavy. But if you are doing trout fishing, in Great Lakes, and in the Midwest for a Brown Trout, then you should necessarily utilize a fishing rod that is not that light. I can testify to this that if you are utilizing a fishing rod and a lure that is too light, you will be able to get very big trout fishes right away when you are doing trout fishing. In terms with hooks, I utilize size ten for my lure every time I do trout fishing. In trout fishing, small baits are better to utilize than those baits that are large in size. In trout fishing, it is not a nice idea to utilize spinners and spools that are larger and heavier than 1/4 ounce. Using a minnow-type plug that is longer than four inches is not a good idea when you are trout fishing.

2. The kinds of garments - The kind of garment especially its color is also important every time you do trout fishing in river and stream environment. You should not use colors that are light every time you do trout fishing since the trout will be able to visualize you. Using colors that are the same from the surroundings is suggested so that the trout could not notice you. The environment like rivers and streams will help the fishes to see clearly so avoid eye catching colors so that they cannot notice you. Colors like brown and grey are appropriate. Do not wear shirts that are color red or white.

3. Your scent - Well, this does not mean the deodorant and perfume that you are having. It simply means the odor of your two hands. These trout are able to differentiate the changes of the smell of their environment right away. For an instance, when you are smoking, after it there will be a distinct smell that is left in your hands.

Afterwards, when he or she will touch an object, you smell that object and it will smell also like an ashtray and this is true. In short, if you touch the lure the smell of an ashtray will also have that kind of smell afterwards you have touched it. Once they will sense this, they will bite you. Normally, the trout will smell the lure prior to nibbling the lure. But if the lure smells different they will not nibble it. If ever your hands have a smell which is not natural like ashtray, from time to time you should hold a lot of weeds and dirt and wipe it into your hands. Because of this, you will be able to get more trout.
