If you want to go to a carp fishing escapade, make sure that you bring two types of things: your personal needs and your angling needs.

Things to bring for comfort:

The outfit for carp fishing is just like in any other fishing trip. It's less about the style and more about functionality. If the area where you will fish has strong wind, you may want to bring a windbreaker. If the weather forecast suggests rain, bring extra clothes and specialized clothing for rain.

Another thing to bring for comfort is food. For the trip to be fun, you must have plenty of food. You may bring alcoholic beverages but you must drink moderately to avoid accidents. In general, you must not bring hard drinks.

You must also prepare you camping equipments if you plan to spend the night outdoors or on the road. You may also check in on hotels if you are not really fond of camping. The fishing gear

Bring your own carp tackle so that you will be able to make adjustments on it unlike with rented tackles. If you don't have a tackle, you could either buy one or find a place where they do rent tackles. Baits and carp rigs are also essential. Baits and rigs come in many shapes and sizes. Use multiple types of bait to test out which ones are more effective in attracting carps. For beginners, boilies are usually the bait of choice. The fun part is making your own bait and trying them out. When testing out homemade baits you should bring along commercial baits in case your homemade concoction fails.

Because carps grow large, unhooking them in catch and release areas can be difficult so bring equipments to help you remove the hook without harming the fish.
