Locating Lake Paddle Board Rentals

By Kelli Evans

With its location in Elizabethton, Tennessee, vacationers come flocking to enjoy the Watauga Lake paddle board rentals. This is a favorite location for Independence Day, as the houseboat owners have been conducting an annual houseboat parade since 2001. The opportunities for recreation are unlimited.

Visitors to the state of Tennessee learn quickly that there are a variety of watersports to enjoy. Not only is there trout fishing in the rivers, but white water rafting, and even skiing. This particular body of water enforces no speed limits, so slower-moving craft tend to stay in the shallows.

More than half of the shoreline is part of the Chattahoochee National Forest. These areas do not allow development of any kind, and passers-by could see anything from deer to the famous southern black bear. Be cautious with these furry friends though. Even the black bear can be potentially dangerous, especially when they have cubs.

This type of boating provides great opportunities for visitors to go ashore and explore the forests. Most of these crafts have a handle which makes them easy to carry. People can be seen engaged in this sport not just on lakes, but in the ocean as well, especially in calm lagoons.

Due to the minimum equipment and expense involved, this sport is becoming quite popular. It is a great workout for the whole body, and it allows one to truly enjoy a day on the lakes. Skiers and snowboarders have been known to use this sport as a form of training during the off season. Beginners generally prefer calm waters and a wide craft.

Easier than surfing and less expensive than boating, start out a new hobby with Watauga Lake paddle board rentals. This is an ideal body of water for the novice, and it is where a lot of aficionados of the sport get started. Be sure to wear a flotation device, and wear sunscreen and sunglasses.
