What Are Some Of The Best Largemouth Bass Lures

By Velma Roberson

Since largemouth bass are not all too particular about what they it, it makes it a lot easier for a fisherman to use a variety of different largemouth bass lures. You will discover that there are a nice variety of different styles that you can choose from. They seem to enjoy the type that creep into the weeds, float on the top as well as ones that look like bait that is living.

A couple of really good types are the buzz baits and the crank baits. The buzz bait is a type of lure that will stay on the surface of the water when you are fishing. There is a blade that will spin around as your lure is quickly reeled in. This blade keeps it from going under the water.

As for the crank bait, it does the opposite. This is a lure that is specifically made to actually go under water. It has lips that helps it to dive down into the water. You can control how deep it goes as well.

Then there are the popular spinnerbaits that are often used for largemouth bass lures. These are great to us in shallow waters. This has a blade on it along with a skirt that will hide the fish hook. This is the type of lure that is wonderful to use in the weeds where the bass will often hide waiting to attack its prey.

Another style is called plastics. These are the type of lures that are shaped to look like different kinds of worms, crayfish, small lizards and frogs. You can move these through weedy water very slowly and they will attract the attention of most fish that are lurking inside the weeds waiting for food.

The frogs and even plastic mice are wonderful for using as largemouth bass lures when doing topwater fishing. You can also include with this type of lure special blades and propeller styles that will get the interest of the fish. Include some poppers and crawlers as well. All of these types will stay on top of the water and will not sink. They are wonderful to use when fishing in dimmer light.
