The NMMA stands for National Marine Manufacturers Association and is authorized to issue certifications that the boat in question has been examined and passed the standard specification.

The issue at hand is for buyers to understand that he needs to be fully informed and knowledgeable when buying a fishing boat. The buyer should have a fairly good idea of the kind, type and capabilities of boat that he is looking and investing his hard-earned money for.
