Types Of Carp Bait

By John Riteorine

Carp bait isn't like any ordinary bait because carp fishes aren't your typical fish. So you must create quality baits that would be effective for carps.

Carp fishes actually like baits such as boilies, bread crust, meat baits, maize, fruity flavours, stilton cheese, white fishmeal, full fat soya flour, lactalbumin, rennet casein, robin red, hemp and seaweed extract. Among all the carp baits enumerated, boilies are the most popular.

Boilies come in two different kinds. These are shelf life boilies and home-made boilies. Of the two, the home made boilies are the cheapest. You must make up your own mind on which is best for you and your situation.

Regardless if you purchase your boilies or not, you must know that generally, boilies are classified in many categories depending on the materials used.

First off, there's the High Nutritional Value or HNV boilies that are a combination of casein, proteins, vitamins and minerals. All these nutrients are a plus with HNV however the downside is that this type is quite expensive and it is most effective only from June to November.

The next type is High Attract or HA boilies. These are buoyant boilies oftentimes utilized as single hook baits. Another thing that makes these boilies different is that they are flavoured and they come in different colours that makes them pop out in the lake or water. Finally, what makes them the coolest is that they can be used any time of the year.

Then there are the soluble boilies. These are the boilies that isn't used to put the fish hook in the mouth of the carp. These boilies which are made from flours, salt, sugar, water or milk usually dissipate at the bottom of the pond or water creating a particle layer on the bottom with an intense scent. These soluble boilies also have several flavours and these are wheat, maize, or cinnamon and a whole lot more.

Whether or not you use HNV, an HA or soluble boilies, it is already common knowledge among anglers that boilies are the easiest and most convenient baits that can be utilize to capture those carps when you're fishing UK.
